My attempt at making Petit Beurres, in the shape of little elephants, bien sûr. Still not 100% pleased with the recipe, which I basterdized from Chocolate and Zucchini‘s. Perhaps I would have fared better if I actually followed it.
Top row of cookies are made with white flour and oil instead of butter.
Bottom row is made with butter and whole wheat pastry flour.
The texture was surprisingly similar for both.
